Matting, framing, wrapping… preparing to open the studio for Arts Killingworth Open Studio weekend October 8 and 9, 2011 Visit EncoureArts Saturday, October 8 between 9:30am and 5:30pm or Sunday, October 9 between 11am and 6pm and enjoy a ”behind the scenes” view of three artists’ work process. As part of the Arts Center at Killingworth’s Autumn Open Art What can we say? We had so much fun the first time – and took so much abuse from friends who were out of the country or missed it for other reasons – we did it again Sunday evening June 12 between 6pm and 9pm. We served some delicious snacks, and played some great music 
Pretty tough working conditions, huh? The truth is, this was the easy part, and everything else is actual work. Keeping track of hundreds of images, backing up computers, getting printing just right, managing inventory, shipping, framing, etc…. it’s no day at the beach. (Come on, you knew that was coming, didn’t you?) After Encoure Arts celebrates the beauty of life with artworks focused on unnoticed details of everyday living, and simple thoughts too often overlooked or forgotten. We sell a growing collection of Greeting/Encouragement Cards (Magnets, Notepads, Journals and more coming soon…) Many of our images are also available as large photographic prints, and we are constantly developing other products. 
Debi is crazy for flowers. When she grabs her camera after a spring rainstorm, I know she’s headed out to the garden to create images of newly anointed blossoms, glistening in dewey perfection. “Which one is your favorite?” I ask. “They’re ALL my favorites!” she insists. Late last November, during a trip to assist family members injured in an auto accident, Debi created a stunning image of a wave about to crash on an Oahu beach.
During our travel home, an art collector in the airplane seat next to Debi spotted the image on her computer screen 
Our Moments line of greeting cards is all about the moments we sometimes miss, but shouldn’t. Those times when we wish the cameras in our cellphones could be wired directly into the “never forget this” part of our brains so we can live forever within those special instants which are gone by the time we notice them. It’s launch time, folks! Let’s celebrate!
